The XX to play show in Marfa in April, ‘try out some new things’
The XX announced a few weeks ago that they would be taking time off in 2014.
That time off appears to be ending with a string of shows this spring, including one at Marfa’s Chinati Foundation on April 7.
“After our residency at the Armory in NYC, we will be spending some time in the U.S. We decided to play some shows in towns we’ve never played before, to try out some new things. These shows will be in smaller venues with a stripped down production. We hope to see you there!” the band wrote in a post on its Facebook page Tuesday morning.
Tickets for just-announced XX shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time Feb. 14 on The XX’s website.
