Why you should know Super Bowl-bound Richard Sherman

For casual football fans, their introduction to Seattle Seahawks’ Richard Sherman was probably his brash post-game interview Sunday with Erin Andrews. ‘

Here’s a crash course in Sherman so you can know what people are talking about at Super Bowl parties and be ready with opinions.

He called San Francisco wide receiver Michael Crabtree a sorry receiver and declared himself the best defensive back in the game.

He instantly became a hero and a villlain on social media.

Here are a few things you should know about him. Sherman graduated second in his class in high school and attended Stanford. He had two solo tackles and assisted in six tackles in Stanford’s loss to Oklahoma in the 2009 Sun Bowl in El Paso.
