Couple allegedly uses stolen credit cards to buy nearly $2,000 worth of items

The El Paso Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a couple who allegedly used stolen credit cards at various stores to buy nearly $2,000 worth of items.

The couple was recorded by security cameras at a few of the stores.

Police say that on May 8, 2014, the victim sicovered that her credit cards and debit card had been stolen and used at several locations on the East Side and Lower Valley, including three Walmart stores, Aeropostale, Academy Sports, and several other retailers.

The male suspect is described as having a large build with a thick mustache and goatee, and possibly is Hispanic.

The female suspect is described as having a heavy build with long blond hair and is either white or Hispanic.

Anyone with any information on the identity of this couple is asked to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso immediately at 566-8477(TIPS), on-line at www.crimestoppersofelpaso.org or you can send a text message by entering the key word “CRIME1” (no space and include the quotation marks) plus your tip information, and text it to CRIMES (274637).
