El Paso Police seek help in finding person missing since 2011

The El Paso Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit are asking for the community’s assistance in a 2011 missing person case.

The morning of Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011 was the last time that family and friends heard from 23-year old Jason Richard Macias.

Macias’s family reported him missing on Sept. 2, 2011.

Investigators found Macias’s vehicle still at the Sun Hollow Apartments at 1601 N. Lee Trevino and also discovered that Macias left his cell phone behind in his apartment, which family said was out of character for him.

Investigators also learned that Macias had travelled to Chihuahua Mexico just a
month before his disappearance, according to a police news release.

Macias was last seen wearing a black dress shirt and blue denim jeans.

Anyone that may have any information regarding the whereabouts of Jason Richard Macias should contact the El Paso Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit at 564-7010 or Police Communications at 832-4400. Individuals wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at (915) 566-8477.
