Floyd’s Name Emerging for Missouri

According to both ESPN.com and SI.com UTEP men’s basketball coach Tim Floyd is considered a “strong” candidate for the vacant coaching position at Missouri. Frank Haith left the school last week to become the new head coach at Tulsa.

As of Tuesday night UTEP’s A.D. Bob Stull had no contact with the Missouri officials about reaching out to coach Tim Floyd.

Tim Floyd is 81-52 after four years with the Miners, and his contract with UTEP runs though August 31st, 2015.

UTEP was 23-11 this past season, and ended their year with a first round loss to Fresno State in the CBI.
