Parents react to former music teacher arrested for child porn.

Homeland Security Investigations arrested Albert Hibbert for allegedly having child pornography.

Hibbert is a former music teacher who taught at various schools in the borderland.

The 43-year old was arrested after HSI agents say they found photos of young girls on his laptop.

District officials say they are working with HSI agents who are asking for help identifying possible additional victims.
Some parents say schools need to do more to keep students safe.

According to a police report 43-year-old Albert Buck Hibbert admitted he uploaded photos of random teenagers he found on Facebook.

He told investigators the girls were of ages 15 and up.
The report states he also admitted to being attracted to girls from ages 8 to 16 and that he would search for photos of them in their underwear and swimsuits.

Hibbert was arrested April 3rd.

After looking through his computer, HSI agents found images of children between 3 and 10 years-old being sexually exploited.

According to HSI officials Hibbert worked for the El Paso Independent School district between 1995 and 2007 at Austin and Burgess high schools.

From 2007 to 2008 he taught in the Ysleta Independent School District at Eastwood High School.

Between 2010 and 2012 Hibbert taught at El Paso Academy East.

A woman who didn’t want to be identified has a 14-year-old daughter attending Burgess.

She says she was shocked by the news of the arrest.
She also tells ABC-7 she understands people involved in these crimes can be anywhere.

She feels schools should have programs for students to prevent them from falling victim to child pornography.

Joel Noriega’s son attends Burgess as well.
He says he feels there’s plenty of vigilance in the school.

But the woman who wished to remain anonymous says it’s also the job of the parents to keep an eye on their kids, especially when it comes to social media.

She says teens shouldn’t be posting risky photos online.

Hibbert is currently in federal custody.

Both YISD and EPISD confirmed Hibberts employment at the school.

Both districts tell ABC-7 they will fully cooperate with authorities investigating Hibbert.

HSI officials say if you have any information, you are asked to call the El Paso victim assistance phone line.

That number is 915- 231-3364
