Rumors of Juan Gabriel’s death are untrue
Mexican singer Juan Gabriel has not died, contrary to rumors floating around the Internet on Thursday.
Juan Gabriel was hospitalized in Las Vegas for about three weeks in April due to pulmonary pneumonia.
Upon his release he was ordered to be on absolute rest for two months.
Jesus Salas, the singer’s rep, told Mexican newspaper Reforma on May 1 that Juan Gabriel is recovering well and was expected to be discharged in the next couple of days.
“After he leaves the hospital, which will be one of these days, he will rest; he will not work until August,” Salas said May 1.
Juan Gabriel already has concerts lined up in the U.S. for September, starting with a concert in Miami on Sept. 5, according to Ticketmaster.com.
