Las Cruces Police ask public’s help in finding 2 men involved in robberies Tuesday night

Las Cruces Police are looking for two suspects they believe are responsible for two robberies Tuesday night.

An innocent bystander also was shot.

The first robbery happened at about 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Pic Quik on Highway 70 and Sonomoa Ranch.

Police say two men, one armed with a gun, told customers and employees to get on the floor.

The two robbers then grabbed money and took off.

Once outside, one of them shot a 63-year-old man in the leg who was at the carwash.

He is expected to be OK.

Police say from there, the robbers hit the Shell gas station at Idaho and Solano.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the two suspects.

Witnesses say both men were wearing dark-colored hoodies.

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that helps identify the two suspects.

Anyone with information that can help identify the suspects is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.

The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.
