Family hikes to celebrate Cristo Rey’s anniversary, remember their father
A family of 10 met up where they’ve met each year for the previous five years; at Mt. Cristo Rey. In addition to the exercise–it’s a five mile round trip hike up what is just shy of a mile above sea level–they also got to join in with an estimated crowd of 30,000 other pilgrims and hike alongside three bishops. Except for their family, the hike is also a chance to remember their father who died several years ago.
