Sheriff’s office announces amnesty period

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is giving a 12-day amnesty period for anyone in El Paso County with an outstanding traffic warrant.

The amnesty period will run from February 17th thru February 28th . The sheriff’s office will then conduct a warrant roundup at homes and businesses.

Anyone that suspects or wants to confirm whether they have a warrant in the county have can check by going to the El Paso County website at elpasocounty.com, by calling the sheriff’s office at 546-2214, or calling one of the Justice of the Peace precincts throughout the county.
