Sun City Scifi loses 2 guests due to filming, gains another guest
Two Sun City Scifi guests for their March 14-16 event have had to cancel due to filming conflicts.
“We are very sad to announce that Kathy Najimy will be unable to attend Sun City Scifi 2014 due to a film she is currently working on. We received the following statement from her,” Sun City Scifi announced on its Facebook page and posted the following statement from Najimy: “I am unable to attend the Sun City Con in March due to a film project. I look forward to attending next year.”
Greg Grunberg also had to cancel due to filming.
“I cannot express how deeply bummed I am to have to cancel my trip to El Paso for our Big Ass Spider panel and signing. I just booked a really cool pilot called Warriors and must be in Canada to shoot that weekend. I will make it up to you guys, I promise. I’ve been assured that I will be allowed back at another time to read all of your minds, take pictures together and kill any and all Big Ass Spiders in the TX area,” Grunberg said in a statement.
Sun City Scifi’s Ean Puhlman told ABC-7 on Saturday that both Najimy and Grunberg are under contract to appear at the convention next year.
Clare Kramer, known for appearing in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the upcoming Big Ass Spider film, has been added to the guest list.
She will be attending the Big Ass Spider premier with Lombardo Boyar and Mike Mendez at Sun City Scifi.
Other guests appearing at Sun City Scifi will be Ray Park, Phil LaMarr, Mariedoll, Toni Darling, Richard Horvitz, C. Andrew Nelson, Scottie Thompson, Esme Blanco, Rikki Simons, and Kirika Yashida.
