Wilson not selected in Fort Worth City Manager search

The Fort Worth City Council’s plans for city manager no longer include El Paso’s current city manager, Joyce Wilson.

A Fort Worth newspaper, the Star-Telegram, reports that the council decided to start its search over for the position currently filled by Tom Higgins who has been with the city for almost 30 years.

The paper reports that the council began interviews with the all four finalists early Tuesday morning.

“They were all very strong professionals and we really appreciate the time they took, but we didn’t feel like any of them were the perfect fit for Fort Worth,” said Mayor Betsy Price.

Higgins will continue to serve as city manager until a replacement is found.
