April 3, 2014 Update: UTEP will be giving Franklin Graham’s Festival of Hope organizers two options later today for Saturday’s event.
The options are the P-9 parking lot on the north side of the Sun Bowl or the Glory Road practice field. The final decision is expected to be made Thursday afternoon.

April 2, 2014 Story: Should UTEP beat South Dakota State tonight the WNIT championship game will be at the Don Haskins Center, the Franklin Graham Festival of Hope has a tentative alternate location.
Jorge Vasquez, head of UTEP Special Events, told ABC-7 that they are tentatively planning to have the Saturday Festival of Hope event in the north side parking lot of the Sun Bowl stadium.
Vasquez said he offered Graham the Sun Bowl or to call New Mexico State or Destination El Paso for venue help but Graham turned it down.
“He said he wants a parking lot,” Vasquez said.
Graham told Vasquez that it is common for them to hold the evangelical events in parking lots and he feels comfortable in that setting.
Vasquez added that there won’t be a problem with parking because the game is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the Festival of Hope Saturday event is at 6 p.m.
