El Paso’s Animal Services says dismembered cat’s cuts were precise, could be animal cruelty
The cuts of a dismembered cat were fairly precise which indicates it could be an animal cruelty incident, according to the Animal Services veterinarian who examined the cat’s remains.
The beheaded cat was found Sunday morning in the Manhattan Heights neighborhood in Central El Paso, near the corner of Piedras and Louisville.
Residents told ABC-7 crews they found just a head with two legs placed in the street. One woman said she believes it was intentionally placed there.
Animal Services spokesman Ramon Herrera told ABC-7 had the cat been hit by a car or attacked by dogs the cuts would be crooked and torn.
If anyone has information on the incident, they are asked to call 311 and report it to Animal Services.
