Man indicted on aggravated kidnapping, 3 charges of aggravated sexual assault of child in Aug. incident in Horizon

Carlos Antonio Holcombe has been indicted on four charges.

Holcombe, 43, is the man El Paso County Sheriff’s investigators say took a 12-year-old girl from the Horizon High School parking lot in late August.

Holcombe was indicted on one count of aggravated kidnapping and three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Aggravated sexual assault is rape in Texas.

Holcombe was arrested the day following the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault.

According to the complaint affidavit on the aggravated kidnapping, Holcombe asked the girl to help him move some boxes.

That’s when he allegedly put a gun to the girl’s back and forced her into his pickup truck.

The girl asked Holcombe if he was going to hurt her and if she was ever going to see her family again.

Holcombe allegedly ordered the girl to keep her head down and put the gun to the back of her head.

The girl said the truck traveled a short distance and went into a garage.

The girl told investigators that once inside the garage, Holcombe covered her eyes with duct tape and tied her hands and allegedly raped her.

The victim gave detectives a detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle.

Investigators say they used surveillance footage from Horizon High School showing a man matching the description at home near the school.

The girl says Holcombe dropped her off at a movie theater on the 12000 block of Montana.
