UTEP to play Army at Sun Bowl Stadium in 2016

UTEP and Army will have a home-and-home series starting in 2016.

UTEP will host Army in Sept. 2016 and then the Miners will go to West Point in 2017, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.

UTEP Athletics Director Bob Stull broke the news during Tuesday’s practice, according to the report.

The Miners also will be playing Texas in Austin in Sept. 2016, a game that was originally supposed to happen in 2012 but was moved.
