Naked 40-year-old man allegedly tries to kill his mom in Dona Ana County while on spice

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in Dona Ana County after allegedly trying to kill his mother, according to the statement of facts.

William Tyson Mosely went to his mom’s house on Sunday, according to a neighbor who witnessed the incident who is quoted in the statement of facts.

The neighbor said the son was naked while talking to his mother in the kitchen and dining area.

Mosely then said to his mother, “The wrath of God is happening. We must kill them all,” according to the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office.

Mosely then allegedly picked up a kitchen knife and threw it at his mom, striking her in the forehead.

Shen then grabbed the knife and ran out of the home with Mosely chasing her with a barstool.

Mosely then allegedly hit her over the head with it and she collapsed to the ground.

Mosely then allegedly got on top of her and allegedly wrapped his arms around her head and neck.

The neighbor says he heard the mom saying that she couldn’t breathe and heard Mosely say “die,” according to the statement of facts.

The neighbor then kicked the attacker on the neck and face, causing him to leave his mom and start chasing the neighbor.

Mosely then stopped chasing the neighbor and walked away.

The neighbor then helped the woman with her bleeding head and called law enforcement.

Dona Ana Sheriff’s Office says Mosely told his mother he had smoked spice synthetic marijuana earlier in the day.

The victim was transported to an El Paso-area hospital with a puncture wound to her forehead and a compound skull fracture.

Mosley was arrested and transported to the Doa Ana County Detention Center where he is being held on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault. His cash-only bond has been set at $150,000.
