2 killed in traffic fatality near Tornillo

Two people died when a semi-truck went up in flames early Thanksgiving morning just outside McNary, Texas in Hudspeth County.

The small town is just south of Tornillo.

According to Hudspeth County spokesman Rusty Fleming the driver of a cattle trailer lost control of the semi and it rolled over.

Cows ended up scattered along the area. Some were killed and others survived.

Just then, the driver of another semi tried to avoid the cows and swerved, going over the railing of a bridge and bursting into flames when it crash landed.

The two people in that second semi died at the scene.

Investigators are having trouble identifying them because the bodies are badly burned.
