2013 El Paso Memorial Day weekend closures, adjusted hours
El Paso
In observance of Memorial Day, El Paso City Hall will be closed Monday, May 27, 2013. Offices will re-open Tuesday, May 28, at 7:00 a.m. and the City Council Meeting will begin at its regularly scheduled time, 8:30 a.m.
In observance of Memorial Day, the City of El Paso Department of Public Health Offices, including its Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Centers and Immunization Clinics will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2013. The Rawlings Pediatric Dental Clinic will resume operations on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. The Department’s 2-1-1 Texas Information and Referral Center, however, will remain operational 24/7. Memorial Day Holiday Schedule for Collections, Landfill and Drop-off Sites
The Memorial Day holiday will impact some solid waste operations for the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department. Garbage and recyclables collection routes will not be affected by the holiday since there are no collections on Mondays. Residents will have garbage and recycling collection on their scheduled collection day. The Greater El Paso Landfill will be closed on Monday, May 27th in observance of the holiday. The landfill will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, May 28th. The landfill, at 2300 Darrington Road, is normally open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Citizen Collection Stations will be closed on Monday, May 27th as part of their normal schedule. The drop-off sites will resume regular operating hours on Tuesday, May 28th. The sites are regularly open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and are located at: 121 Atlantic, 4200 Delta, 2492 Harrison, 4501 Hondo Pass and1034 Pendale.
The Administrative Offices for the City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department at City Hall will be closed.
Senior Centers and Daycare Operations will be closed.
Sports Centers will be open regular hours from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Aquatic Centers will be open. (Schedule attached)

The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department will be opening their four outdoor pools this Saturday as the summer season begins for swimming in the Sun City.
The indoor pools which are open year-round will be open as well. The outdoor pool locations and scheduled times are listed below for Memorial Day weekend. (There will be a different pool schedule for next weekend June 1st and 2nd before the outdoor pools are open daily throughout the summer beginning on Saturday, June 8, 2013.)

UTEP closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 27.
El Paso Community College (EPCC) will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 27, 2013. First day of classes for the summer 2013 semester will be on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
In observance of the Memorial Day Holiday, El Paso Electric will close its business offices in Texas and New Mexico on Monday, May 27, 2013. The offices will open during regular business hours on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
The Texas Department of Transportation will be closed on Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. All offices will be open on Tuesday, May 28.
El Paso Zoo Open on Memorial Day
As a reminder, the El Paso Zoo will be open on Monday, May 27 2013, for the Memorial Day holiday. The zoo will remain on a regular schedule – opening at 9:30 a.m., last ticket sold at 4 p.m., zoo closed at 5 p.m.
Las Cruces and New Mexico
COUNTY OFFICES ANNOUNCE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Monday, May 27, 2013, to allow employees to observe the Memorial Day holiday. Emergency services and law enforcement in the field will not be affected, but the administrative offices of the Doa Ana County Sheriff’s Department will be closed for the day.

Lincoln National Forest Offices Will be Closed on Monday
in Observance of Memorial Day
ALAMOGORDO, N.M. – May 23, 2013 – In observance of Memorial Day, Lincoln National Forest offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2013. The Supervisor’s Office located in Alamogordo; Smokey Bear Ranger District Office in Ruidoso; Sacramento Ranger District Office in Cloudcroft; and the Guadalupe Ranger District Office located in Carlsbad, will be closed on Monday. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday morning.
