Miami, San Antonio archbishops make friendly bet on NBA Finals

Miami Heat fan, Archbishop Thomas Wenski, has offered a friendly wager to Archdiocese of San Antonio’s Archbishop Gustavo Garca-Siller, as the Heat and the San Antonio Spurs begin the NBA Championship games tonight.

Archbishop Wenski is offering stone crabs from Islamorada in the Florida Keys and a box of cigars handmade in Miami-Dade County, if the Miami Heat loses.

Archbishop Garca-Siller has accepted Archbishop Wenski’s challenge, and is offering 20 lbs. of barbeque and 10 lbs. of fajitas if the Spurs lose in this NBA final.

San Antonio won Game 1 in Miami on June 6. Game 2 will be at 6 p.m. Mountain Time on Sunday in Miami. Watch every NBA Finals game on ABC-7.
