UTEP’s Jordan Leslie named to Biletnikoff Award Pre-season Watch List

UTEP football’s Jordan Leslie was one of 75 candidates named to the 2013 Biletnikoff Award Pre-season Watch List, which was announced by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc. on Tuesday. The award is presented to the nation’s top college receiver.

Last season, Leslie paced the team in receptions (51), yards per catch (19.1), yards per game (81.1) and overall receiving yards (973). The junior ranked fourth in Conference USA and 39th nationally in yards per game. The Texas native appeared in all 12 games and set career highs for both single-game receptions (10) and yards (218) while becoming the sixth Miner in program history with 200+ receiving yards against Tulsa (10/11).

The award recipient is selected by the Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of more than 200 prominent college football journalists, commentators, and former receivers. The 2013 Biletnikoff Award winner will be presented live on December 12, 2013, on The Home Depot College Football Awards Show to be broadcast from 5:00-7:00 p.m. (MT) on ESPN.
