El Paso police arrest man they say robbed 5 fast food places through the drive-thru

A 28-year-old man has been charged in five drive-thru aggravated robberies.

El Paso Police say that Steven Garner, of the 7600 block of Matamoros in El Paso, has robbed four McDonald’s restaurants and one Carl’s Jr. in July and August.

Police say that in each of the aggravated robberies Garner entered the drive-thru and then allegedly displayed a handgun to the employee and demanded cash before fleeing in the vehicle he was driving.

Garner was booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $375,000. Police are not releasing his mugshot at this time because of the ongoing investigation.

Garner is accused by police of the following aggravated robberies:

Saturday, 07-04-2013 @ 5:00 a.m., McDonalds at 1896 N. Zaragoza

Saturday, 07-13-2013 @ 2:18 p.m., McDonalds at 7110 Gateway East

Monday, 07-15-2013 @ 5:35 p.m., McDonalds at 11260 Montana

Saturday, 08-03-2013 @ 3:29 p.m., Carl’s Jr. at 10620 Montana

Tuesday, 08-06-2013 @ 4:58 a.m., McDonalds at 5620 Montana
