Hit show Duck Dynasty draws nearly 12 million viewers, has shoe designed by El Paso’s Spira

If you’re going to get hooked up with a TV show, A&E’s Duck Dynasty just might be the right one.

The series had its fourth season debut on Wednesday and 11.8 million people watched it.

After a week of teasing it online, Duck Dynasty and El Paso-based shoe company Spira officially announced a Duck Dynasty shoe.

“Project Startup,” an A&E program designed to showcase up-and-coming brands and new technologies, handpicked Spira and provided them with seed money and promotional help.

The shoeline is being crowdfunded through Rockethub. If you donate $90 you get a pair of the Duck Dynasty shoes with free shipping. There are other donation levels available that will get you more shoes.

If the goal of $100,000 is reached, A&E will donate $20,000 to America’s VetDogs, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides service dogs for disabled veterans and active duty personnel.
