Authorities confirm kidnapping near Montwood High School

Police emergency supervisor confirms they are investigating a possible kidnapping near Montwood High School.

According to a message sent to parents, students witnessed a female being forced into a vehicle. SISD confirms El Paso Police Dept. is handling the investigation.

El Paso Police have now confirmed the abduction happened just before 9 a.m. Friday morning at 12000 Bob Mitchell.

The investigation revealed the victim was confronted by her ex-boyfriend in a nearby neighborhood. The victim was then punched in the stomach and forced into the suspect’s vehicle. She was later released at Montwood High School.

It is still not confirmed whether the woman is a student at Montwood. The investigation is still ongoing and no arrests have been made at this point in time.

Below is the complete message from SISD sent to parents on the matter:

“Hello, I am calling from the Socorro Independent School District to inform you of an alleged incident that was reported this morning. Students informed the school that a female appeared to have been forced into a vehicle in a neighborhood adjacent to Montwood High School. El Paso Police Department were immediately notified and are investigating. Campus administration and security are closely monitoring the campus. Students on campus are safe and continuing with their regular schedule. We will work with EPPD throughout their investigation. Thank you for your continued support of Team SISD.
