Candlelight Vigil held for car crash victims

Families in shock on Christmas Eve morning after a triple fatal car crash due to an alleged drunk driver.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m at the intersection of Joe Battle Boulevard and Vista Del Sol Drive. The father of two of the victims, Josh and Isaiah deal, told ABC-7 the third victim is his elder son’s girlfriend, Shannon Del Rio.

Friday evening, family members, friends and loved ones all joined together during a candlelight vigil to reminisce about the three lives lost and to say goodbye.

“I am going to miss him a lot, so I’m just going to let him go and he’s going to be okay,” Isaiah’s girlfriend said.

“It is so hard for me to get up here and just speak because it hurts so much,” One man said. “But I thank all of you so much, so much for being here.”

A night full of emotion and love as the community pulled together to help these families during such a tough time.
