New Case of Ebola in Dallas

State health officials early Wednesday announced another Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital worker is sick with Ebola, and has been put in isolation.

Her name and job duties haven’t been released. She joins a nurse, Nina Pham, who contracted the virus while also caring for Thomas Eric Duncan. Duncan died Oct. 8.

Emergency responders in hazardous materials suits have begun to decontaminate the Dallas apartment of a second hospital worker who contracted Ebola.

Emergency crews before dawn Wednesday spread out at the northeast Dallas apartment of the second woman, who lived alone. A hazmat-outfitted worker sprayed a substance on the door of a second-floor unit.

A statement in English and Spanish, being handed out to neighbors, advises them that “a health care worker who lives in your area has tested positive for Ebola.”
