Xbox One released early by accident

An El Paso teenager ordered a new Xbox One, and to his surprise, it came early. But his initial luck soon turned sour.

“Well we ordered anXbox Oneon Wednesday,” said William Derrick. “It was shipped to our door on Friday,I was pretty exited.”

Derrick cranked up his new toy but soon found a problem. “I hooked it up and now I’m banned fromXbox live on that console,” Derrick told us.

XboxOne is expected to be released on Nov. 22nd. If you’re not familiar, many game consoles now work through an online system. Once Derrick logged on with the new Xbox, Microsoft shut him down. Derrick was told by the manufacturer to return the console and place an order for a new one.

“I think it’s kind of a hassle but I’m okay with it.I don’t think it’s that bad,I get a new system anyway,” said Derrick.

And even though his excitement was short lived, Derrick seemed to be a good sport about the whole situation.

“I think it’s kind ofcool though thatI got it early just because well…I’m thirteen andI like getting things early,” said Derrick.

Derrick ordered the Xbox One at Target. Once management found out about the mix-up they gave him a $100 gift card.
