FBI arrests El Paso man for allegedly trying to entice underage person into sexual activity

The FBI arrested a 42-year-old last month and charged him with allegedly trying to induce a minor believed to be under age 18 to engage in sexual activity.

The FBI arrested Antonio Escobedo without incident following an investigation into allegations of crimes against children.

He is charged by a federal criminal complaint with knowingly using the means of interstate commerce to induce or entice a minor believed to be under the age of 18 to engage in any sexual activity.

Escobedo remains in federal custody.

The investigation continues and is being conducted by the FBI and the El Paso Police Department.

According to the criminal complaint, Escobedo solicits minors using the messaging application called Kik and the username “Tone Loc”. Anyone under the age of 18 who has engaged in online communications with Escobedo is asked to contact the FBI at 915-832-5000.
