Estela’s Escuelas: Principal Honored

LAS CRUCES – Eloisa Solis has been the principal at Central Elementary School in Las Cruces for the last nine years. Today, we visited the campus as students and staff honored her for being selected as a National Distinguished Principal.

The recognition is presented by the National Association of Elementary School Principals. Only one principal in every state is chosen. Solis will represent New Mexico. The ceremony will be held in Washington, D.C. in October.

The National Distinguished Principal was established in 1984 to recognize elementary and middle-level principals who set high standards for instruction, student achievement, character and climate for the students, families, and staff.
