Canutillo Football Ready for New Challenge

most meaningful spring game in the school’s history…. after becoming the first 11 man football team from el paso to reach the state semi finals… the canutillo eagles enter the season with some roster spots to get sorted out… roughly 30 seniors will graduate… meaning next year’s edition of the eagles will be very different than the one which made history… it’s a problem every team goes through…. today the eagles took part in their final spring practice before tomorrow’s spring game … there’s still a lot of young talent on the roster and with coach scott brooks at the helm… anything is possible… he talks about what it will take to get back … “You’ve got to have a littl luck on your draw and you have to stay healthy. We were very healthy last year. You’ve got to play good defense and not have turnovers. The biggest thing is staying healthy so that you’re healthy in the playoffs. We didn’t lose anybody until the third round.
