Ex-LAPD officer wanted in murder arrested in Mexico

Former Los Angeles Police Department officer Henry Solis, wanted in connection to the March murder of 23-year-old Salome Rodriguez Jr. in Pomona, has been arrested in Mexico, according to authorities in Juarez, Mexico.

Solis’ father, 53-year-old Victor Solis, was indicted for making a false statement to FBI agents concerning the ongoing investigation and search for his fugitive son.

In April, Victor told El Paso FBI agents he dropped off his son at a bus stop in El Paso.

Federal officials released surveillance images that showed Victor walking Solis across the border into Ciuadad Juarez, Mexico.

The images were taken at the Paso del Norte port of entry on March 14.

Authorities in Juarez say the state will hand Solis over to Mexican immigration officials.

It is still unclear when Solis will be extradited to the U.S.
