El Paso celebrates independence with parades

The Fourth of July is being celebrated all over the borderland with parades as a long-standing Fourth of July tradition.

This year was no exception with the east and west side parades – where hundreds of people showed up, and many treating the festivities as a family event.

Both parades were full of patriotic floats. Parade-goers lines the streets to watch vintage cars drive by flying the Stars and Stripes.

Mayor Oscar Leeser and Rep. Beto O’ Rourke attended the west side parade.
