Picture sparks rumor Eminem might perform tonight at Texas Showdown Festival

Will Eminem be a surprise guest at tonight’s Texas Showdown Festival opening?

Promoters of the three-day event, which features hip hop legend Ice Cube and rock groups Limp Bizkit and The Offspring–and up-and-coming hip-hop artist Yelawolf–teased fans on its social media pages with a photo of the festival flyer covered in M&M candy.

“OH EL Paso You have no Idea! We Have So Many Surprises for You!” the promoters wrote.

The photo sparked rumors that Eminem will show up to support Yelawolf, who is signed to Eminem’s label, Shady Records. There have been no confirmed sightings of Eminem in El Paso.

Some fans on social media speculated the promoters would surprise the crowd with one of those anthropomorphic M&Ms from the candy commercials.

But whether it’s the real Marshall Mathers or some guy in an M&M costume, it’s fair to say fans will be in for a treat.

Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has officially been announced as Yelawolf’s touring band and will be in El Paso.

Also on ticket is Atmosphere and Buckcherry.

In addition to the music, hundreds of tattoo artists will be on site at the festival to help you with your inking needs.
