Caprock apartment fire

Seven apartments in west El Paso caught fire shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday morning. Fire officials said the fire started in a town home and spread. Crews were able to control the blaze and no one was injured. Residents said they self-evacuated after smelling smoke atop one apartment. The damage was estimated at $200 thousand dollars. The fire is still under investigation.
