English speakers are more at ease with the divorced Catholics

El Paso,TX- The survey shows change is rattling the Catholic church, with English speakers showing more compassion on various issues.

The survey shows they want the church to be more accepting, back in March the church wanted dioceses to ask their faithful what they thought the biggest problems facing American families were.

Here is what they said they’d like the church to focus on. Helping parents combating violence,drugs, gang problems and overall help for their kids.

The information from 1,500 English speakers and 300– Spanish speakers show El Paso Catholics are more concerned with issues directly affecting them over the social issues in the mainstream media.

When asked about same-sex unions English speakers, showed more compassion and want acceptance. The survey says Spanish speakers chose not to answer questions on this topic:
“It seemed to me as if parents were crying out for help on how to manage the challenges that their children, of all ages, are facing here in the diocese. Dr. Jean Soto said.

The results from the survey are being compiled and will be used this September at the world meeting of families being held in Philadelphia.
