UTEP unveils 2015-‘16 men’s basketball schedule
UTEP revealed its men’s basketball schedule on Monday, with the Miners set to play 20 home games.
The Miners will play six straight home game to open the season.
They also will participate in the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic over Thanksgiving weekend.
The schedule also features two games with I-10 rivals New Mexico State University and a matchup at Washington State, continuing a four-game set with the Cougars out of the Pac-12 Conference.
The season will get underway with a pair of exhibitions. The Miners will face Cameron on Oct. 31 and East Central Oklahoma on Nov. 7. A week later, the regular season will tip off at home versus Loyola (New Orleans).
The Miners, who have posted 45 wins over the last two years including a 25-9 C-USA mark, return Omega Harris, Earvin Morris, Hooper Vint and Matt Willms from last year’s squad while introducing a recruiting class that has been ranked in the top-15 nationally.
The list of newcomers includes Oregon transfer Dominic Artis, junior college transfer Lee Moore and incoming freshmen Josh McSwiggan, Christian Romine and Paul Thomas. Tevin Caldwell, Jake Flaggert, Victor Mbachu, Trey Touchet and Terry Winn are also back after redshirting last season.
