Vaqueros Baseball Camp

ones can be expensive … and that’s why a professional baseball team wants to help. in today’s estela’s escuelas we head out to the city of the crosses where the las cruces vaqueros — a team that plays in the pecos league — is traing young baseball players the team is hosting a free camp for children in between the ages of 5 and 13. the players teach the kids how to catch, throw and hit the ball: “this league is a league of opportunity. we’ve already moved three kids up and we’re working on moving two more. our goal is to be classy people in the community, give back to the kids. it’s all about the kids.” for more information on the baseball camps, call the las cruces parks and recreation department at 575- 541-2550.
