El Paso Fire Department responds to chemical spill on Texas Tech Health Sciences Center campus

A chemical spill occurred at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center campus in El Paso.

“A chemical spill was reported at one of the buildings on the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso campus shortly before 4 p.m. today and the building was immediately evacuated. Emergency crews are currently on the scene investigating the cause of the spill. No injuries have been reported,” said Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso officials.

Twelve El Paso Fire Department units were sent to the scene.
