Shortlist Magazine editor discusses “Sicario” movie

trailer for the hollywood film “sicario” has been release sicario — which is spanish for hitman — is about an f-b-i agent played by emily blunt, who is chosen to aid in the escalating war against drugs on the border. this new trailer is an extended clip that shows fbi agents in a standoff with gunmen on an international bridge between el paso and juarez. it also stars benicio del toro and josh brolin. here to talk about the movie and the drug war is andrew dickens — special projects editor for shortlist magazine. he’s been sent to juarez from london to look at the effects of the drug war and how things have changed. – you just got back from juarez, this afternoon. where’d you go what did you do? – what have you covered in the past? and what led you editors to send you do? – what have you covered in the past? and what led you editors to send you to the borderland? – the drug war is still there, but it really got bad around 2007,2008. that’s when it was very violent across the border. but since then it’s relatively died down. is that your experience? – are you looking forward to the film? sicario opens september 18th in some theaters — everywhere on oct. 2. time now for a preview of abc-7 at 5 with rick cabrera. rick?
