How are El Paso roads holding up after the storms?

the roads in your neighborhood. how are they holding up in all this rain? we spent the day in various neighborhoods around town to find the answer. abc-7’s josie ortegon hit the streets she’s live with more … rick, maria. we checked out neighborhoods that have been hit pretty bad in the past and most recently in july, when we saw roads and homes flooded… in west el paso two neighborhoods suffered damage. floodwaters fractured the ashpalt on one road and in another area, a large portion of a rock wall broke. it was a different scene this time around. in east el paso, the recently- completed flood control project on montwood between mcrae and wedgewood is working accordingly. residents are calling all this a “pleasant surprise” “when they first decided to d the street project we were a little bit skeptical, it costa little bit more money, but it seems like it’s really working the last storms we’ve had, it’s drained it’s gone down the street.” “we usually have a lot of mud rain and rocks, the last of this storm it just took out the complete road, it held up pretty good the last couple of days.” if you see any damage, call 3-1-1 to report it. be sure to send any weather pictures or videos to us on facebook twitter and instagram. our first alert coverage continues
