Las Cruces High School Vandalism

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers needs your help identifying the person or persons who damaged four windows at Las Cruces High School. The vandalism happened on September 26. That’s when Las Cruces Police learned that the windows to a newly constructed portion of Las Cruces High School were shattered. Police think they were broken by gunfire from a pellet gun. That damage costing an estimated $4,000.

Surveillance cameras at the school were able to capture what appears to be a white over black double-cab pickup. Cameras caught it passing by the school multiple times around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday when the windows were shattered. Investigators believe someone inside the pickup fired a weapon at the windows while passing along El Paseo Road.

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for tips that help identify the driver or passengers of the pickup. Anyone with that information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also send them a text message. Just text LCTIPS to CRIMES (274637).
