El Pasoans celebrate at Nightmare on Robinson Street Block Party
Hundreds of El Pasoans gathered at Nightmare on Robinson Street Block Party on Mesa Street Saturday to listen to local bands and celebrate Halloween.
“This is my very first time that I’m here,” one local vendor said. “I’m super excited. I was a little bit nervous but you have to take that leap of faith you know and support local businesses and events and make El Paso be something.”
Carolina Vazquez says that’s the perfect combination for a block party.
“We have three stages going on. We have one inside the Low Brow Palace, we have one up here which is the pizza joint stage and then our main stage down on mesa,” Vazquez said.
Over 60 bands performed, 15 were regional and the rest were local.
“We understand that people have kids and they’re trick or treating but its really cool we always see like large numbers,” Vazquez said.
While the event happened to fall on Halloween this year, some say that made the party even better.
