46-year-old pedestrian struck, killed by car
A 46-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Northeast El Paso Thursday.
The collision occurred in the 9000 block of Dyer at about 6:22 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10.
Jose Luis Ramos-Ordaz was crossing Dyer from west to east when he was struck by a 2005 Honda Civic traveling northbound on Dyer.
Police say Ramos-Ordaz was not crossing in a crosswalk.
He died at the scene and no charges were filed against the driver of the vehicle.
This is the 48th traffic fatality of 2015 compared to 61 this time last year and the 10th pedestrian fatality compared to 23 this time last year.
