of sitting in traffic! yesterday txdot gave its quarterly report – and the future plans may frustrate you even more. abc-7’sevan folan is live with the details. … txdot has 18 different road projects that are in the works! many of you on the westside are frustrated with two major projects that are closing down portions of i- 10 and paisano drive. “it’s a mess. they shouldn’ have done so much construction at one time.” road closures, detours and traffic have suddenly become the norm in west el paso. “i think it is a real struggl for people trying to get to work and school and home at night.” that struggle comes from two major projects… “theres one question i’ve bee asked more than any other – why are we building border west express way and go ten at the same time?” his answer: both projects are dependent on one another – which will soon be connecting at i-10, borderwest expressway and us- 85. “they should have done it in stages as they wrap up one thing maybe start another because it has started more congestion, more accidents, more frustration.” txdot says if the two were built separatley – it would’ve taken twice as long. “either way it is going to be a mess. there is always something going on.” although frustrating for many – the mayor thinks the finished product will be good for the city. “this shows progress. this show that our city is growing at the end of the day not to note – it is so much easier to move around and go out and talk about our city. there” at 4 and 5 we talked about several of the projects planned around the city including streert lights at diverging diamond in far east el paso. within the hour – i will have all the information we covered today online at kvia dot com. we will also include links to help you keep up with the latest on future closure and delays. live in our newsroom. evan thank you. a live look at the streets tonight with
