temperatures alternative routes around town due to various closures caused by construction. during a quarterly report at city council – txdot announced that there are actually eighteen different projects either underway or being planned in the borderland. abc 7 reporter evan folan describes some of the plans… rick/ estela — some of those projects include finishing up construction on the east side – major projects on the westide – and some beautification projects! in far east el paso – the i-10 loop 375 americas exchange will have two more on-ramps connecting loop 375 north and south – to i-1o east! and after several complaints from drivers – crews will install lights at the diverging diamond intersection in far east el paso. txdot district engineer bob bielek also answered a pressing question from several el pasoans on the west side about the decision to work on the border west expressway and go 10 at the same time! he says – doing the projects individually would have taken double the amount of time it would’ve taken doing them together. “this shows progress. this show that our city is growing at the end of the day not to note – it is so much easier to move around and go out and talk about our city. there” although this does mean our city is growing – it still doesn’t mean el pasoan are happy. coming up at 6 – we hear from some of you who are already anxious for the construction to end! estela? a
