TXDOT says more construction to come, has been completed.

A Texas Department of Transportation official spoke during Tuesday’s City Council meeting about several projects.

District Engineer Bob Bielek explained to frustrated residents why Border West Expressway and Go Ten are being built at the same time.

Bielek says by building the two projects together they are saving time. If they had built the two separately it would have taken double the time.

There are 18 projects planned or in the works around El Paso.

In far East El Paso the I-10 loop 375 Americas exchange will have two more onramps connecting loop 375 North and South to I-10 East. Also, after several complaints from drivers, crews will install lights at the Diverging Diamond intersection in far East El Paso.
