N.M. grand jury indicts school-bus driver accused of raping student he met on route

A grand jury indicted a school-bus driver accused of raping a teen girl he met on his route.

Darien Pete, 26, is charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a minor, a fourth-degree felony.

Peter allegedly met the 15-year-old student on his route during the summer.

District Attorney Mark D’Antonio said if convicted as charged, Pete faces three years in prison and would have to register as a sex offender.
