KVIA-TV General Manager Kevin Lovell taught the inaugural sports journalism class at the University of Texas at El Paso this fall.
Lovell earned a Master’s degree in Communication at UTEP. He is a former KVIA sportscaster and a member of the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame.
For the final report the students were assigned to do a profile article. Here are a collection of a few of the student articles.
These articles include a profile of UTEP softball player Ariel Blair, El Paso Rhinos coach Cory Herman, prominent Juarez cyclist Pablo Fernandez, UTEP volleyball setter Lindsay Larson, Miner basketball player Tevin Caldwell and former Miner great, quarterback Billy Stevens.
