El Paso City Council to discuss closures for pope’s visit to Juarez

El Paso City Council will discuss the possible closures Downtown for the pope’s visit to Juarez Feb 17.

The city is trying to decide if city offices will be closed, including city hall.

Council could also authorize city manager Tommy Gonzalez to spend up to $50,000 on additional public safety services.

Also on the agenda is a request to close certain streets downtown that might get too congested.
