UPDATE: I-10 East at Yarbrough Now Open After Multi-Vehicle Crash

I-10 East was shut down in East El Paso early Monday morning after a semi crashes into several vehicles on the freeway. The vehicles included a tractor trailer, two sheriff’s units, and a construction truck.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. near the Lomaland exit. According to emergency dispatchers, three people were taken to University Medical Center with injuries. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office confirms two deputies had minor injuries and the TxDOT worker has serious injuries.

The freeway will remain closed until about noon.
